Anna Barriball, Untitled V, 2004. Ink and bubble mixture on found photograph
This is Anna Barriball’s first major survey exhibition. It opens at MK Gallery on the 30 September and runs until the 27 November 2011. The show brings together drawing, video, photography and sculpture made over the last decade.
The above work comes from a series of works created by blowing bubble mixture with ink over old black and white family photographs found in a market; a new image is created as each bubble bursts, echoing the shutter of a camera.
